Navigating the Luminex Virtual Lab is pretty intuitive, but in case you have questions, here’s a short guide on getting around.
How do I get to a course?
Two ways: you can select a station, or you can choose a course from the main course menu in the virtual lab.
Course Menu:
• Click on the course menu tab that appears in the bottom left of the virtual lab. 
• The courses are listed by type – either web-based or instructor-led. Each has its own icon.
• The ones that appear in green are ones you have registered and paid for.
• To learn more about a course, click on it. The menu expands to list a description, duration and prerequisites.
• You can buy a course, by clicking “buy course” and completing the registration and purchase information. 
"Buying" a course serves as a request for more information on the course(s). You are not subject to any charges by completing this process. Upon receiving your request, xMAP University Staff will contact you to provide more information. Prices are subject to change.
• If the course title is green, you can launch the course from this menu. Notice that links to the quiz and evaluation appear here as well.
Station Menu:
Courses are organized into stations – and each station corresponds to a specific Luminex instrument and software – beginning with IS 2.3 and the LX200, to xPONENT® and FLEXMAP® 3D™. There’s an assay station and the Technology Theater, which hosts training on Luminex multi-plexing technology, along with product demonstrations.
• By clicking on the station, you are transported into the lab.
• A menu appears at the station, where you can select a list of courses offered here.
• The menu operates the same as the course menu, with green highlighted courses indicating ones you are cleared to take.
• To learn more about a course, click on the title.
• Register for a course, by clicking the “buy course” button.
• Launch a course, by clicking “start course”.
Courses Listed Outside the Virtual Lab
You don’t have to enter the Virtual Lab to see a list of the courses offered by Luminex. By clicking on “Courses” from the top navigation bar of xmapuniversity.com, you can see a complete list of courses. These are the same classes that are offered inside the Virtual Lab.
You can register for courses from this menu, however, you must visit the Virtual Lab to see and take a course.
