xTAG® CFTR 39 v2 Online Training Course

The Luminex CFTR39v2 Online Training Course will cover the CFTRv2 Assay including the chemistry behind the assay, and how to correctly run the assay.

This qualitative genotyping assay is designed to simultaneously detect and identify a panel of mutations and variants in the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene in human blood specimens. This includes the mutations and variants currently recommended by the American College of medical Genetics and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACMG/ACOG) plus some of the world's most common and North American prevalent mutations.

Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, students will:

• Correctly run the xTAG® CFTR 39 kit v2, and obtain accurate results
• Properly prepare sample and control reactions for detection on the Luminex instrument
• Correctly use the xTAG® CFTR 39 kit v2 software, Luminex instrument software, and TDAS data analysis software
• Demonstrate problem solving techniques
